De Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is een internationale non-profitorganisatie. Het FSC-systeem voor het certificeren van bosbeheer is opgericht om duurzaam bosbeheer te waarborgen. Hiertoe ontwikkelt de FSC een algemene internationale paraplustandaard en is het bezig met het aannemen van een nationale bosstandaard in de respectieve landen. De FSC bevordert ecologisch verantwoorde, sociaal bevorderlijke en economisch winstgevende exploitatie van de bossen in de wereld. Op deze manier zorgt de FSC ervoor dat de behoefte aan de grondstof hout voor de huidige generatie net zo goed kan worden gedekt als die van toekomstige generaties. Naast het houtgebruik wereldwijd is het centrale doel daarbij het waarborgen van de biodiversiteit en het gebruik van bossen als recreatie- en leefgebied voor mensen. Voor jaarlijks terugkerende processen gebruiken we de autofactuurfunctie, waarmee we veel administratieve lasten kunnen besparen. De samenwerking met xtraport GmbH in Freiburg verloopt uitstekend.
